Diagonal Baby Blanket Part 1

I started making a baby blanket from Sweet Stripes yarn. This is what I have completed so far.

Bernat Baby Coordinates Sweet Stripes

I found a new yarn called Sweet Stripes. It is a self striping yarn, which means that it has long sectoins of thread of a single color. I saw a cute pattern for a baby blanket on the label to make a diagonal blanket.

Finished Heart Blanket

After many posts and many squares, I have finally completed the heart blanket! All that was left after sewing the blanket together was to put a border on it. The border has 2 rows of sc in Cream color, 2 rows in Burgundy and finally 2 more rows of sc in Cream color.

Sandy Print Scarf

I finished crocheting a "Sandy Print" Red Heart scarf. In the skein, Sandy print looks very nice. It contains shades of beige. The result when the yarn is used to make a scarf s not quite as nice.

Completed Octopus

I finally finished sewing together the pieces of the octopus.

Alphabet Pillow Letter G

I finally finished crocheting together the 2 sides of the letter G alphabet pillow. The front half is a medium blue, and the back is a navy blue.

Sam's Letters to Jennifer by James Patterson

This is the best book by Patterson that I have ever read. It contains a love story that rivals The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks, but it also contains many twists and turns.

Step on a Crack by James Patterson

This book was quite disappointing. Usually Patterson's books have many twists and turn and unexpected occurances. Although this book did have some twists, most if not all were predictable. Detective Michael Bennett has ten children and his wife is dying of cancer. In addition, someone is hold 34 very famous people hostage. No one knows who the hijackers are or what they want. They also claim that they will be able to get out alive, without being caught, even though the church where htey are holding the prisoners is surrounded by police officers. Of course in the end, as with any Patterson book, the "bad guys" get caught.
